Excitement continues to build as FIFA World Cup 2026™ approaches, and Houston is once again embracing its creative side through the return of the popular ‘Art of Soccer’ campaign. Relaunched by the FIFA World Cup 26 Houston™ Host Committee, this initiative celebrates the city’s passion for soccer while supporting meaningful legacy programs.
First introduced in 2019 during Houston’s bid to become a host city, the campaign now returns with an even stronger mission — to engage the local community and businesses, generate visual excitement, and create lasting impact beyond the tournament itself.
“The FIFA World Cup 2026™ is generating tremendous excitement across Houston, and the ‘Art of Soccer’ campaign is a fun and meaningful way to involve our local partners,” said Chris Canetti, President of the FIFA World Cup 26 Houston™ Host Committee. “We can’t wait to see these soccer ball artworks displayed throughout the city as a symbol of support and celebration.”
Each participating business or organization will receive a 36-inch fiberglass soccer ball to be customized by a local Houston artist. Once decorated, the sculptures can be proudly displayed at storefronts, offices, or public venues, turning Houston into a vibrant soccer-themed art gallery.
All proceeds raised from the campaign will directly benefit the Host Committee’s community legacy initiatives. These include efforts to expand access to soccer for underserved youth, launch sustainability programs, and uphold human rights protections throughout the event.
Professional Sports Partners (PSP), a Houston-based sports marketing firm, is leading the campaign’s outreach to local businesses. “We’re honored to lead this impactful program in collaboration with the Host Committee,” said Jason Kohll, CEO of PSP. “Our goal is to unite Houston’s corporate community around this global event and make a lasting difference.”
